Irishman Aaron Hill made the first 147 of his career in the opening frame of his BetVictor English Open clash with Yao Pengchang.
Hill’s perfect break comes in the middle of a rich vein of form, which saw him beat 2024 World Champion Kyren Wilson at the Wuhan Open.
The 23-year-old is now in line to pocket a £5,000 payout for the high break prize. It was the 226th maximum in professional snooker history and the ninth of the season.
